II.2.4) Description of the procurement:
Places for People wish to enter a contract with an experienced contractor to complete a major upgrade and refurbishment, with mechanical and electrical services, and low carbon technology to their office at South Rings Business Park, Craven Drive, Bamber Bridge, Preston, PR5 6BZ. Places for People is a national housing provider and has offices throughout the UK. The office at South Rings includes a 24 hour customer contact centre, a wide range of organisational business related functions including, facilities for agile working, training facilities and meeting rooms. The form of contract is likely to be a JCT Design and Build with contractor’s design portion. Places for People will be responsible for procurement and installation of FF&E. The office was built in 2008 and is now due a major refurbishment. The successful contractor will be required to begin construction work in February 2024 and complete the project in February 2025. All employees currently based at South Rings will be decanted and relocated for the duration of the project, however a maintained access may be required to maintain and respond to the onsite data centre.
