II.1.4) Short description: In line with the HSE guidance given in HSG 227 (‘a comprehensive guide to managing asbestos in premises’) and in compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, Places for People require Asbestos Surveying and Analytical Services to undertake the following, but not limited to Management, Refurbishment and Demolition or a combination surveys of void properties, programmed, responsive or emergency works.

There is also an annual requirement for a number of ad-hoc surveys to accommodate reactive works and maintenance. In addition to the ongoing survey programmes there is a separate project to survey or reinspect non-domestic blocks.
