II.2.4) Description of the procurement: A new secure lobby is to be provided with automated external doors to the front and access controlled internal lobby doors to create a separate interior waiting area for visitors. A glazed screen and internal doors are to be installed to separate the entrance corridor into two areas. Extensions to two existing classrooms will increase the classroom sizes to over 55sqm. Due to the increased depth of the rooms, additional ventilation will be necessary to provide a comfortable internal environment. The new external walls will be constructed using traditional cavity masonry comprising brickwork outer leaf and blockwork inner with cavity partially filled with insulation. External wall finishes will include brickwork to match existing with contrasting blue brick soldier banding at window sill level.
